WHAT IS ROOT CANAL TREATMENT ?

During root canal treatment, the tooth’s pulp (composed of blood vessels and nerves) is removed from the pulp chamber and the roots. Once the infected pulp is removed, the tooth and the roots are cleaned of all the debris and bacteria and shaped to receive a filling material. The root and the tooth are then sealed with the filling material. Deep decay or injury can cause serious damage and infection to the pulp of the tooth. Root canal, also known as endodontic treatment cleans out the infected pulp chamber and canals in the roots of the tooth
